1/100 HG Gundam Sandrock Custom

1998 released kit. The MG version was released in 2011!
I have manged to complete this 1 month before the MG release. haha
Chose to build this kit since I was reading the Gundam Weapon magazine for W Gundam and was amazed by how they have modified it..

Have a better understanding how the parts are being modified to cater for easy painting.

The head and the sabers were being modified in this kit. Applied Bandai Water Decal as the final touch up.

1/100 MG Gundam RX-78 G04

One of the rare kit which I finished in 2011.

I remember buying the RX-78 G05 many donkey years back but was wondering why I did not buy the G04....It must be the same old color scheme (blue, white) that puts me off. Well since I love Gundam so much, I decided to buy this G04 in 2011. 

Nothing fancy about this kit since this was released way back in 2003. And i notice that some of the decals in the box are in poor condition. When I tried applying one of those scratch on decal on the shield, it just broke into pieces (dried up)...I was hoping to find the water decal during my last trip in Tokyo but no luck...

Took almost a month to complete this with out of the box build and airbrushing. Used Mr Hobby Aqueous Hobby Color for the whole kit. Basic sanding was applied but no base was applied. 

Articulation for the kit is average and it cannot be compared with the new MG release from Bandai. Even my 1/48 Mega Size RX-78 - 2 pose better than this....

Year 2012

Has been away from this blog for quite sometime.
Its finally time to pick up where I have left.

2011 was a sad year for me. Gain some but lose alot of things that are close to me. Perhaps that's life, we can't win everything. But I am lucky to be in Tokyo for work in December and managed to head to Yodobashi Camera to grab a few boxes of Gundams (RG - Freedom Gundam etc)

2011 only yell 3 completed Gundams for me, HG 1/100 Sandrock, non graded 1/100 RGM-109 and Real Grade RX-78.

Certainly hope 2012 will be a better year than last year and also hope I could finish up as much Gundam kits as possible.

Will be taking photos of the 3 kits completed in 2011 within these few days and update it soon.
